Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages

The ideal candidate would be able to teach French across the age range but we are also happy to consider candidates who have French as a second language to KS3.

We would consider opportunities for leadership roles for a candidate with the right experience

The School:

We are a co-educational 11-18 school, in Eastham, Merseyside, England. We are a dynamic, successful and growing school. The school has been over-subscribed for the last 3 years and was graded “Good” by Ofsted in October 2022.

South Wirral is a school where every child matters and every child thrives. The aims of our curriculum are to develop successful learners, confident and inspired individuals and aspiring, responsible citizens. Extra-curricular activities are an integral part of school life, as we help students to build skills in the 5 ‘LORIC’ principles – Leadership, Organisation, Resilience, Initiative and Character. The Team:

The person appointed will join a successful Humanities and Languages team with an unswerving commitment to ensure that every student achieves their goals, whatever their circumstances. We currently offer French at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level, but as the school grows we are looking to expand into a second language. The Assessment Process will be:

student voice panel (25%)

lesson observation (25%)

interview (50%)
