In our community, we believe pupils should always feel safe and happy and never feel threatened or endangered in any way. To this end, if you have a concern regarding a pupil who attends South Wirral High School then please use the below button and our Safeguarding Team will follow this up as soon as possible.
At our school, we are dedicated to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, and supported. We create an environment where pupils, parents, and carers can share any safeguarding worries or concerns with confidence, knowing they will be listened to and taken seriously.
Our staff team works closely together, with the full support of senior leaders and governors, to keep every child safe. Staff are encouraged to seek advice or raise concerns about any safeguarding matter — whether it relates to a pupil, a colleague, or themselves — so that we can respond quickly and effectively.
At our school, we encourage every child to understand and respect the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for people of all faiths and beliefs. These principles help create a safe, welcoming environment where everyone feels valued.
We make sure that teaching across all subjects is fair and balanced. When political topics are discussed, children are encouraged to think for themselves and explore different points of view.
We also take care to ensure that visitors to our school share messages that reflect our values and positive school ethos.
Keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility. All staff and volunteers play a part in safeguarding our pupils. If anyone has a concern, suspects something isn’t right, or a child shares a worry, it will always be taken seriously and dealt with according to our safeguarding procedures.
