The LA has asked all schools to share information with you about the possible re-opening of schools.
School will not be open to year 10 and year 12 students on June 1st, other than for the children of key workers, children with an EHCP and children with a social worker.
Thank you to parents who responded to the recent survey. We are using your feedback to shape the way forward.
We have begun a process of consultation with staff and risk assessment planning following LA and union guidance. However, at this point, the school has not received any specific guidance from the DFE on the return of year 10 and 12 students.
We are hopeful that we can arrange for year 10 and 12 students to have some “face to face time” with their teachers before the summer holidays.
In the meantime we are looking to increase the provision for video and audio lessons and audio feedback, in response to the survey of parents. Staff training has been taking place. Your children will see increasing numbers of visual and audio elements to some lessons and will receive more audio feedback.
Once again, I must emphasise that school will continue to be open for the children of key workers, children with an EHCP and children with a social worker.
I hope to be able to share more information with you on June 1st.
