The government has issued updated Covid guidance effective from 1st April 2022. The key changes surround isolation periods for those with symptoms and positive test results.
- Children and young people who are unwell AND have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people. They can go back to school, college or childcare when they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough to attend.
- For children and young people aged 18 and under, who test positive for Covid the advice is to stay home for 3 days. Students should return to school on the fourth day if they are well.
