Hello everyone. My name is Mrs Hodson-Evans and I am the KS2 to KS3 Transition Lead at your new high school, South Wirral High. I am proud to be welcoming you and your family into our school community where we look forward to celebrating you, your progress and successful learning.
Every child matters at our high school and we are aspirational in everything you do. We want you to be a successful leader, be organised, show resilience and initiative, which means you become outstanding characters and the best version of yourself. There are lots of exciting opportunities before you join us in September, including virtual activities on Google Classroom, the Welcome Day on 2nd July and I look forward to visiting lots of you at your primary schools too.
At South Wirral High School, we believe that all pupils are entitled to an inclusive education that allows them to achieve their full potential. Every individual is encouraged to challenge themselves, work creatively in collaboration with others and most importantly, achieve the sense of accomplishment that comes from the determined effort to succeed in learning.
My team and I are committed to supporting all students, especially those with individual needs. We have high aspirations for our young people and support them so they can achieve excellence, but also have the necessary adaptations and reasonable adjustments to ensure the best achievements, both academically and individually.
Please contact myself, or Ms Fidal (Assistant SENDCo) if you have any questions as we’re here to help.
