Today, students in Year 6 will receive confirmation of which secondary school they have been allocated for starting Year 7 in September – and we are looking forward to welcoming new students to our school.
Parents and students who have been allocated South Wirral High School can expect to receive a welcome pack in the post in the coming days, including information on what happens next. Also included are 2 ‘Moving on Up’ booklets – handy guides with lots of information about procedures and the day-to-day life at our school. You can also view these online:

Open Morning
This is a very exciting time for students but we understand it can also be quite a lot of change and a little bit scary – we offer guided tours both during and after school to put your mind at ease. We are also holding an Open Morning on Wednesday 27th June. To register your interest in a tour, please complete this short form.
‘Every Day is Open Day’
If you are unable to attend our Open Morning and would like to visit either during lesson time or after the school day, let us know and we will arrange a personal tour for you and your family.
It’s Not Too Late To Join Us
If you have been allocated an alternative school and would like to appeal to join us here at South Wirral, you must do so before 31st March. Click here for more information on the appeals process.
