RE – Summer Examinations & Results Days – Letter from 27th February
Dear Parents/Carers
We hope you are well.
We will shortly be able to share your child’s final summer exam timetable. However, whilst this is being finalised we would like to draw your attention to the JCQ Contingency days.
These are timetabled for the afternoons of the 6 and 13 June as well as the day of 26 June 2024. The designation of a ‘contingency day’ within the common examination timetable is in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the UK. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations. Centres must therefore remind candidates that they must remain available until Wednesday 26 June 2024, should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.
The results days are as follows:
A Level – Thursday 15th August 2024
GCSE – Thursday 22nd August 2024
Results will be available to collect by students at 9am on these days – they will also be available on Arbor from 11am that day too. Should the student wish for their results to be collected for them, you will require written permission from them stating they consent for you to collect their results on their behalf, which will need to be signed and dated as well as ID from the person collecting. If you have a planned holiday or won’t be available to collect the results and wish for them to be emailed, please inform us via school office and we will make arrangements for them to be emailed on results day.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me via the school office: [email protected]
Kind regards
Mr D Harrison
Assistant Headteacher
