We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students at South Wirral High School. Their achievements this year reflect the hard work, dedication, and resilience they have shown throughout their time with us. Whether they have secured a place at university, are moving on to an excellent apprenticeship or are exploring other exciting career opportunities, we know that they will continue to thrive, equipped with skills for success as they move forward into adulthood.
Some outstanding individual achievements have been seen where students have attained excellent results allowing them to go onto their aspirational pathways.
Headteacher, Mike Cloherty, praised students for their achievements:
“These results reflect the determination, independence, and ambition our students have demonstrated during their time at South Wirral, embodying our school values and especially our belief in high achievement through ambition. They have applied themselves with focus, supported one another, and faced every challenge with resilience – and today’s successes are the reward for that effort. I am proud not just of what they have achieved academically, but of the considerate, respectful young people they have grown into. I am confident they will make a positive impact in whichever direction their future takes them.”
It has been a privilege to guide our students through their KS5 journey. Their results are a reflection not only of academic excellence but of personal growth, ambition and determination. We wish every one of them the very best as they take their next steps into higher education, employment, and beyond.
100% of students applying for university have attained their places for the next academic year. This includes a wide range of courses such as Ecology and Wildlife Conservation at Cumbria University, Zoology at John Moores University and The Physical Sciences at Liverpool University. We also see a large number of students moving into aspirational apprenticeships in areas such as Marine Engineering, Leisure Entertainment and Financial Operations. We are proud of all students and their achievements.
