Earlier today, South Wirral High School initiated a brief precautionary lockdown following information relating to individuals in the local community, not on our school site. This step was taken in line with our safeguarding procedures, and at no point was there any direct risk on school site.
We have now been informed by the police that no lockdown is required, and school has returned fully to normal routines.
Students and staff responded calmly and sensibly throughout, and the day continued with minimal disruption. We are very proud of how well everyone handled the situation.
Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
