South Wirral helped prepare me for both university and working life beyond

Adam Garland, 2015 Student, now studying Psychology BA (Hons) at The University of Liverpool

Teachers know your name and go above and beyond to help if there are any issues or queries. South Wirral helped prepare me for both university life and working life beyond that by teaching me to achieve the best of my ability and to also be an independent learner. South Wirral also offered many opportunities that both help my CV stand out but also gave me invaluable experience such as participation in a scheme in which I worked with younger children to help them with their mathematics.

I am happy here because I have lots of friends and all the teachers are very nice

    Owen, Year 7 Student

I chose this school because I really enjoyed the activities in the sports hall when my primary school came for the day and all the teachers were very nice. At South Wirral I really enjoy German and Geography lessons. I am happy here because I have lots of friends and all the teachers are very nice and I enjoy break times to spend time with my friends. I have been on the Hadlow Fields school trip with English and a Food Technology trip to the Ice Cream factory. I am also going on the Drama trip to London. If I was to give advice to new year 7 students it would be, if you work hard you will get high grades.

I’m happy here because the teachers are nice and I’ve made friends quickly.

    Jack, Year 7 Student

It’s nice seeing my friends during break and lunch, and I’ve got some lessons with them. I’ve made friends by being a part of the football team after school, and I’m looking forward to going on the Drama trip to London in March to see Matilda and Aladdin. My favourite subject is German, and the one piece of advice I’d give to somebody joining South Wirral in September is to make sure you don’t leave your homework until the night before it’s due!!
