Update from Mr Goodwin – 18th March

Dear Parent,

Our school continues to open as normal, with minimal disruption caused by staff absence.  The children continue to be very calm and sensible and we continue to take extra precautions with hygiene in school. Our school had one of the highest attendances on the Wirral yesterday.

Please see the latest guidance from the Public Health England:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public

Also – the latest guidance on coronavirus in an education setting:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19/guidance-to-educational-settings-about-covid-19

The school will only close if directed to close by Public Health England or if staff absence would put student safety at risk.

In the event of a closure education will continue, using “Google Classroom”. In current circumstances such technology is the best and safest way of making education available at home.

If your child would be unable to access the internet, you should inform school immediately.

If your email address or telephone number has changed recently then please contact school immediately with this information.

Students who receive free school meals will receive a Tesco food voucher of equal value. The quickest and safest way to send vouchers out is via email.

If you would be unable to receive a voucher by email and therefore require a paper voucher you should inform school immediately.

During a closure the school website will be your main source of information and will contain contact details for key school staff.

Thank you for your support and understanding and the many kind comments that have been sent in to school.
