Update from Mr Goodwin – 18th June

Dear parent,

We have had a very positive week of progress interviews. It has been great to see our year 10 and 12 students again. The school will be moving on to phase 3 of our re-opening from Monday June 22nd.

Each year 10 student will come into school for one day next week for lessons of English, Maths and Science. The purpose of these lessons will be to:

  • identify gaps in learning and fill them
  • plan next steps to complement our increasingly sophisticated online curriculum.

By the end of this week students will know which day to come in.No more than 30 students will be in school on any day. Parents can see the risk assessment for the re-opening of school on our website. All returning students will need to submit a signed Home/School Agreement. If you need a replacement please contact your pastoral leader.

We hope that year 12 students will be able to come into school from Monday June 29th. Students should come to school between 8.40 and 9am. Please do not come earlier than 8.40am. Year 10 students should enter through the J block gates where they will be greeted by a senior member of staff.

We are looking forward to a return to some normal lessons again from Monday.
