Parent Governor Vacancy

The role of the governing body is an important one in the overall administration of the school.

The Instrument of Government states that the governing body of South Wirral High School should consist of: 5 parent governors, 1 Local Authority appointed governor, 2 staff governors (including the Headteacher), 4 partnership governors, 3 foundation governors and 4 co-opted governors.

At the present time, there is one vacancy for a parent governor.  This is a result of governors agreeing a new Instrument of Government increasing the number of parent governors from 4 to 5.  It is important to welcome new parents to our governing body.

If you are interested in becoming a parent governor I would request that you complete the Nomination form attached this week and return it to school by 3pm on Friday 8th December 2017.  If there are more nominations than vacancies a ballot will be held.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me at the school.

Yours sincerely,

L. Stott-Everett

Clerk to Governors
