Dance Drama 2017

Every December, we hold a festive Dance Drama extravaganza – and 2017 was no exception. With a huge number of students ‘treading the boards’, acts ranged from the energetic Vision Dance Company, through some moving performances by the Year 12 Performing Arts Drama students representing the Christmas Truce of 1914 and Pre-Vision’s ‘Supermarket Flowers’ incorporating a sign language section.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Dance Drama without some comedy, with the hosts (the ‘Not So Justice League’), ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and ‘Class 10F Nativity’ being met by rapturous laughter and applause.
As in previous years, local primary schools were treated to an advance viewing of the show in the matinee performance. Over 300 students from Brookhurst, Heygarth, Millfields and Woodslee got their first taste of the arts at South Wirral High School – and they all left with a postcard wishing them a Merry Christmas from one of our students or teachers.

On the final day of term, students stepped back into their roles for two final performances for the whole of the school, the perfect end to a very busy half term and sending students off full of festive cheer for the Christmas Holidays.
