Dance Drama 2015

This year’s Dance Drama 2015 was an incredible extravaganza, with 22 acts performing student/teacher directed pieces, entertaining a packed audience with originality, talent, and humour.

Charming and hilarious hosts, Camp Wanaicky, kept the audience engaged with their comedic narrative, turning heads with their wacky outfits and spoof-like characters, ensuring the spectators had no reason to be bored for a second!

The Dance acts were incredible, impressing the buzzing crowd with original and beautifully executed, choreographed performances. Each enactment was so different from the other, with remarkable ability required to pull off some of the complicated moves. Each Drama act didn’t disappoint either, with hilarious narratives in each piece, and students delivering each line with gusto, to a crowd relating to the genuine wit of lines and brilliant delivery.

Our Student Tech Team were on hand, alongside Mr Stewart, to ensure the acts were lit with magic, serving to enhance the experience for proud families, beaming with joy throughout the night.

Mrs McCormack said:

“Twenty-two acts were performed by students at South Wirral High School, ranging from those in year seven to Sixth Form with many students directing some of the dance and drama acts themselves. The abundance of talent was outstanding, reminding us why we received our specialist Visual & Performing Arts College status.”
