Being The Best You Can Be

Assemblies this week are being delivered by Wilson House.

Miss Holt, an associate teacher from Liverpool John Moores University, has been working with Wilson 1 since the start of her placement. Along with Mr Harrison, this week they are helping to deliver assemblies to all houses on the subject of ‘Being the best you can be’ – an outstanding achievement for Miss Holt who choreographed the Year 7 Dance Act to showcase team work, resilience and being the best you can be in all areas of school life.

Mr Harrison spoke about the achievements of Felix Baumgartner, the Red Bull Stratos pilot who jumped from a then world-record 38,969.3 metres to Earth from a helium balloon in the stratosphere in October 2012. He also explained that to be the best possible version of you, you should:

  • Show perseverance and dedication
  • Collaborate with others
  • Be creative and take risks
  • Go that extra mile and show determination
  • Not let anything be a limitation!
