South Wirral Digest Issue 3 – February 2016

This half term has been action-packed as usual, with many significant dates and events occurring such as Safer Internet Day, Sixth Form Employability Month, and various trips out of school including a Geography trip to the Lake District and a theatre trip to Liverpool.

Sixth Former Ryan Ellison, who visited Auschwitz, delivered an impressive speech in an assembly of his experience at the former prisoner of war camp in Poland. “It was a privilege to be able to visit a site of such historical interest and to be able to see it in its raw form, a truly unforgettable experience.”

This Digest is packed with exciting stories including our student success story, year 13 Cameron Arrowsmith’s apprenticeship achievement. His unswerving commitment to every Young Chamber workshop for Employability Month, gaining expert tips on CV writing, Personal Brand, and Interview techniques. A fantastic and well-deserved triumph, illustrating the importance of using your initiative and drive to better your chance of accomplishing a job, apprenticeship or place at university.

On behalf of the school, we would like to wish you a happy and restful half-term.
