Learning Aim B – Breakeven, budgeting and cash flow forecast. Learning Aim C – making a profit, measuring success by looking at financial statements, profit & loss and income statements.
Through Learning Aim A, B and C tests.
Revision homework for Learning Aim A, B and C.
External exam contributes to 25% of the grade.
AP2Focusing on exam content, revision techniques, exam skills in preparation for the Unit 2 – Finance for Business exam.

Starting Unit 5 – Sales & Personal Selling. Learning Aim A – Exploring the roles of sales staff.
Unit 2 – Finance for Business exam – January of Year 10. This exam contributes to 25% of the final grade and students will receive their results in March.

Controlled assessment written work in class which focuses on exploring the roles of sales staff. Unit 5 contributes to 25% of the grade.
AP3Continuing with Unit 5 – Sales & Personal Selling Learning Aim B – Demonstrating personal selling skills and processes.

Starting Unit 8 – Recruitment, selection and enterprise. Focusing on a combination of learning aim A, B and C. Looking at functional areas and job roles of businesses, documentation for job roles and demonstrating interview skills.
Controlled assessment written work in class which focuses demonstrating personal selling skills and processes. Unit 5 contributes to 25% of the grade.

Controlled assessment written work task as part of the PPE season, controlled assessment tasks during the lesson and practical/written tasks during the practical recruitment day at the end of June. Unit 8 contributes to 25% of the grade.

Starting Unit 1 – Enterprise in the Business World. Learning Aim A – Know how trends and the current business environment may impact on a business.
Unit 8 – Recruitment unit controlled assessment work produced. Work will be done in class.



Controlled assessment written work in class which focuses on how current trends and factors affect a start-up business such as a coffee shop in the Bromborough/Eastham area.
AP2Continuing with Unit 1 – Enterprise in the Business World. Learning Aim B. Focusing on planning an idea for a new business.

Unit 2 – Finance unit (if students are re-sitting exam). Focusing on the exam content and exam skills needed to pass the exam.

Continuing with Unit 1 – Enterprise in the Business World. Learning Aim C. Focusing on presenting a business model for a business start-up.
Controlled assessment written work in class which focuses on planning an idea for a new business.



Completion of unit 2 Finance re-sit – revision sessions will take place during lunchtimes.
